Biography
David B. Stewart, a native of Northwest Arkansas, spent most of his life in Texas and Oklahoma. His mother's family set roots in Tennessee's Williamson and Maury counties at least two generations before he arrived in the area. He credits that family line for his talent in poetry, prose, and art. Once a budding broadcast journalist, he chose engineering as a profession. Writing for a hobby and pleasure saves him from the monotony of technology and gives his children and grandchildren something to puzzle at.
Stewart is a graduate of Oklahoma State University (Stillwater, OK). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and is a registered Engineer Intern in the state of Oklahoma. While in Stillwater, he served temporarily as a booth announcer and engineer for KOSU-FM radio and contributed political cartoons to the campus paper, The Daily O'Collegian, where his work was published.
Some of his artwork was on public exhibit in Birmingham, AL in the mid-1970's. His graphic work continues in web design and a hobby of independent audio-video productions.
Stewart lives in Franklin, Tennessee.
